HERITAGE LUTHERAN CHURCH

308 Washington St

Valparaiso IN

 464-2810

Rev. Joe Ostafinski, Pastor

This morning God richly blesses us through His Word, and also the Sacrament of The Lord’s Supper in which we receive the very body and blood of our Savior Jesus for the forgiveness of our sins and strengthening of our faith.  If you are a visitor to our church today and a member of another congregation of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, we welcome you to our altar to partake of this Sacrament.  If you have a question about this, you may speak to the Pastor before worship.   Thank you and welcome!

The altar flowers are given today in thankfulness of God’s blessings as we celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and Evelyn’s mom and dad’s 55th wedding anniversary.  The Gallagher family.

Thank you Rev. Mike Porter for leading us today in worship.  Pastor Ostafinski is not here today because he is having surgery tomorrow.  He will be out of the office the next few weeks recovering.  In the event of an emergency Pastor Bob Hauter from St. Paul, Kouts will fill in.  If you need to contact him directly his cell phone is 510-7288.  Also, if you need someone to make a hospital visit, please contact Beth in the church office.

Heritage Annual Church Picnic is next Sunday, August 22!  Please see the sign up sheet in the parish hall.  This year our picnic is at the Forest Park Shelter on Harrison Blvd at noon.  Please bring a dish to share and your own table service.  Meat and drinks will be provided.  Please Note – There is NO outdoor worship service this year.

There is NO Wednesday evening worship services until October 6.  Watch your newsletters for more information.
