Middle School and High School Students: If you are in summer sports/activities, Heidi would love to come and cheer you on. Feel free to drop a schedule off in her mailbox at church or email her: heididce@gmail.com Fun for Our YouthJunior High Mini Golf Extravaganza: Join us for fun, food, and prizes Sunday June 22nd at noon. We will meet at Zao Island after church, eat Pizza, and play a game of mini golf. Cost is $5. This event is open to students who have just completed 6th, 7th or 8th grade as a welcome to the 6th graders becoming 7th graders and a send off into high school for those who have just completed 8th grade. If it is raining, we will reschedule for a different day. Please let Heidi know if you plan on attending by June 20th. High School Events ( incoming Freshmen and out-going Seniors are welcome) Summer Bible Studies: There is no regular Sunday School time during the Summer, but we are going to try to get together one Sunday a month for Bible study after church. Each Bible study will focus on a different summertime theme. The tentative dates for these studies are: Sunday, June 29: Rest Sunday, July 13th: Play-possible picnic to the dunes Sunday, August 17th: Freedom Wild Wednesday: Progressive Fast food Meal Wednesday June 18th at 11:30 a.m. What is a progressive meal? You may ask. You have all the components of a meal, but eat them at different places. We will be putting a fast food spin on this, get one thing at each restaurant. We will start at Taco Bell (on the corner of Calumet and Glendale) and end at Dairy Queen on Calumet with a stop or two in the middle. If you are in need of transportation—please call Heidi. Ignite Chicago—High School and College Students: Sunday, July 20th, we will be heading up to Schaumberg for a day of fun and outdoor Christian concerts. Bands include: Newsboys, Mercy Me, David Crowder Band, Hawk Nelson, and more. Cost to you is $25 plus extra spending money for food and other stuff when we get there. Please let Heidi know if you plan on coming by June 30th. High School Parents: there is a possibility that we may need extra chaperones/drivers, if you are interested, please let Heidi know.
