New Sunday School Year Fast Approaching

Sunday School starts September 12!  Jill Blakley and Edna Ostafinski are the Co-Sunday School Superintendents.  The new curriculum that will be used is called “KidsKount” created by King of Kings Lutheran Church in Omaha, Nebraska.

We are in need of more group leaders and storytellers, who would commit to no more than two (2) Sundays a month.

Orientation is scheduled for Sunday, August 8 at 10:15 a.m. in the Sunday School Opening Room.

To help with this exciting new program for the children of Heritage, contact Jill, Edna or any of the Board of Parish Education members.

Dear Members of Heritage

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for your partnership in ministry during the past three years.  It has been a great experience for me, and I have learned a lot.  Thank you also for entrusting me with teaching the youth of this congregation.  I pray that you continue to make Christian education a priority as you move forward as a congregation.

To the youth that I have had the pleasure of working with over the past three years—you are all wonderful, amazing kids!  It has been a joy teaching you and hanging out with you.  I will miss you immensely!  I pray that you continue to grow in your faith always.

In Christ,

Heidi Heuer

Dear Heritage Endowment Committee

Lutheran Braille Workers are so blessed to have Christian people like all of you, who see and support the importance of spreading God’s word, to the blind and visually impaired throughout the USA and the world.  Our work center appreciates the monetary donation to help cover the costs of paper, binders, boxes for mailing and the packaging tape.  We continue to send 70 volumes a month of Judges & Ruth in English and occasionally 5 volumes of John in Portuguese.  The blind are also very grateful for your generosity, so they can learn of Jesus and or increase their knowledge and faith more.  Anita Graef is a true blessing, in her many years God has had her transcribing.  We are happy in God’s plan He put her in our lives.  She is a big influence on all of us in being dedicated to this wonderful organization.

Our work center loves doing what we are doing and have many friends formed in this Christian group that are now “family.”

We work on Tuesdays from 8:30—11:15 a.m. and noon—2:30 p.m.  All are welcome to come see us in action.  Thank you for your financial and prayer support.
